san blasting medium will go through metal if its concentrated long enough. the spray is focused on one area so you can see where its eating at the vinyl. and yes its just vinyl with the backing paper
@@gakumoyo with enough time and pressure you can go through the entire plain or glass and even metal. On this video he uses multiple layers to make that effect. First he blasts the letter , then the second one makes the outline of the letter slightly wider so there's a border that has not been sand blasted. Always think of it like every layer ads am effect so more layers means more detail or effects added.
0:10 where it says "cutting glass" hes cutting the glass in that step. @ 0:38 when it says "making mask" its then that hes making the mask. He does this for every step. What more do you want 😐🖕
I just looooove watching these videos, awesome art homie !!!!! 😇👍🏼
I wondered why you'd etched the glass so deeply but when you turned it over it was obvious... and looks amazing.

The glue is animal hide based. But don't use rabbit glue was it's too flexible.

I'm told the best to use is permanent, or exterior grade vinyl. Good luck!

@@nonyabidness6492 Can the sand blasting machine etch the glass?
@@gakumoyo yes that's how you do it without acid
@@nonyabidness6492 But the font looks like a carved groove. Can a sandblasting machine do it? Thank you for your reply!
